By selling homes at no profit with affordable mortgages, the organization ensures that high-quality, energy-efficient housing remains accessible to those in need. Homebuyers undergo extensive training and invest significant "sweat equity"—approximately 30 hours of labor per week—which serves in lieu of a traditional down payment and fosters a deep connection to their new community.
